Before Disappearing
Before Disappearing places itself on the threshold between presence and loss. The images dwell on what is still there, yet has already begun to recede. They do not document the disappearance, but rather the preceding moment, when matter still resists.
Organic elements in transformation coexist with shadows that only exist under precise conditions. In both cases, the visible is unstable: the organic degrades; the shadow vanishes with the light. Everything appears sustained, barely.
The image becomes a space of suspension. A lingering gaze upon the fragile, upon that which is on the verge of ceasing to be. Before Disappearing does not freeze time: it points to its silent passing, that minimal moment when presence begins to fade away.
